The experimental wastewater is divided into high concentration and low concentration wastewater, high concentration wastewater. Mainly the unidentified deliquescent reagents after the label is detached, the liquid reagents that have failed, the derivatives and by-products in scientific research and experiments, the washing water after the highly toxic drug experiments, and the high concentration of wastewater is seriously polluted by the environment, which should cause people to pay enough attention to it. The concentration of wastewater is mainly the washing water of chemical experiment vessels, the chemical reaction products of acid, alkali and salt, the low-toxic chemical waste test solution and the experimental water.

The organic wastewater mainly contains phenol, benzene, nitro compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls and other carcinogens. Waste water contains both organic and inorganic pollutants, and both are large. Most of the experimental wastewater is integrated wastewater, which is treated with water.

The experimental contents include physical property verification experiments, quantitative analysis experiments, organic synthesis experiments and organic matter extraction experiments. The chemical reagents used include common acids, alkalis, heavy metal salts, phenols and other organic substances. Most of them can cause serious pollution to the environment, and many reagents and their reactive wastes such as various acids and bases, heavy metal salts and organic substances are harmful to the environment and human health. Some of them can exist in the environment for a long time and are difficult to degrade; some are enriched into the human body through the food chain and cause toxic effects; some even cause secondary pollution during the degradation process.
With the country's emphasis on environmental protection, more and more chemical companies and pharmaceutical units are increasingly demanding wastewater treatment after use. This is the trend of the times, so college chemistry laboratories should take the lead.
