Class III biological safety cabinet with ulpa filter is totally enclosed and gas-tight with ULPA filter supply and exhaust air. Work is performed with long-sleeved gloves. The cabinet is kept under negative pressure of at least 120 pa, and airflow is maintained by a dedicated exterior exhaust system. It can protect the operator, product and environment.

Biosafety Cabinet Classification
Class I BSC
Protects personnel and the environment with inward airflow (min. 0.38 m/s) and HEPA-filtered exhaust, but offers no product protection.
Ideal for low-to-moderate risk agents where sterility isn't critical.
Class II BSC
Protects personnel, product, and environment with inward and downward HEPA-filtered laminar airflow; varies by type (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1) for different risk levels and chemical use, with Type A2 being the most common.
Class III BSC
Provides maximum protection for personnel, product, and environment as a gas-tight, negative-pressure enclosure with glove access; designed for high-risk agents and hazardous chemicals.
