Fume hood in use：
1. Avoid the interference of countercurrent wind direction on the fume hood caused by people walking around;
2, every 2 hours for 10 minutes to make up air (i.e., open the window to ventilate); use time more than 5 hours, to open the window, to avoid indoor negative pressure.
When two or more fume hoods are used together with one fan：
1. In order to avoid operating errors or improper operation, the fan "switch" can only be controlled by one operator;
2,One of the fume hoods is not in use or is to be discontinued, a check valve should be installed in advance to close the vent to prevent the air from the other fume hood from flowing back into the fume hood;
3. Avoid repeated "switching" of fans with each other, which not only damages the life of the fan, but is also imprecise for experiments.
For laboratory safety, the use of fume hoods requires attention to the following matters:
- It is forbidden to do experimental courses in the fume hood when it is not opened;
- Room air temperature between -5°C and +40°C, with a 24-hour average not exceeding +25°C;
- It is prohibited to stick your head into the fume hood to operate or view it while doing experiments;
- It is prohibited to store or experiment with flammable and explosive substances inside the fume hood;
- It is prohibited to store or experiment with flammable or explosive substances in the fume hood; it is prohibited to place mobile plugs or cords in the fume hood;
- The laboratory should be ventilated from time to time even when the fume hood is not in use, so as to benefit the health of the laboratory staff.
- It is prohibited to conduct experiments in the fume hoods in which organic substances whose emission is prohibited by the State are mixed with highly chlorinated substances;
- It is prohibited to place experimental substances in the fume hood without safety precautions, and the power supply should be cut off as soon as a chemical substance spills out;
- When moving the upper and lower windows, do so slowly and gently so as not to crush the hand by the door handle;
- During the experiment, it is appropriate to keep the window 100-150mm away from the table surface;
- The operating area of the fume hood should be kept clear, and avoid stacking objects around the fume hood;
- If the fume hood is faulty or the sound of the fan is not right, the operation must be stopped and repaired by professional maintenance personnel, not disassembled and repaired by oneself;
- When the operator does not use the fume hood, avoid storing too much test equipment or chemical substances on the countertop of the fume hood, and prohibit stacking for a long time;
- If the ventilation is not smooth, please contact the sales staff in time to facilitate the engineering department to repair as soon as possible.
