Assisted reproductive technology laboratories should avoid neighboring disinfection rooms, washing rooms, infectious diseases, radiology, pathology, etc. The laboratory should be built on a higher floor. Based on the current development status of reproductive technology and the future development space, it is proposed that the total area of the new area needs to be more than 2,000 square meters.

Floor layout partition
According to the workflow, reproductive medicine has two main divisions: clinical diagnosis and ART laboratory, of which the ART laboratory is the core part. In addition, no matter which area has close cooperation with nursing, the workplace of nursing should be fully considered when designing. The opinions in this article are mainly aimed at the ART laboratory area.
Clinical diagnosis area Clinical diagnosis area is the main place for patients to see a doctor. Women's department, andrology department, nursing, laboratory and other parts cooperate closely to complete the diagnosis and treatment activities of patients. The following are the room requirements for each part: Women's Department: 3-5 consultation rooms, B-ultrasound room, examination room, treatment room, outpatient operating room. Andrology: 1-2 consultation rooms, andrology examination room, andrology treatment room. Nursing: injection room, observation room, propaganda classroom, consultation room, archive room, auxiliary material room. Inspection: 2-3 sperm collection rooms (adjacent to the andrology laboratory and equipped with hand-washing equipment), andrology laboratories, endocrinology and blood immunity laboratories. Other office space: waiting room, changing room, office, storage room, etc.
The ART laboratory zone (this zone requires air purification) is divided into two parts: in vitro insemination technology (IVF) zone and artificial insemination technology (AI) according to the nature of work. Although there are overlapping work links, some places where AI is required by the Ministry of Health need to be dedicated. Therefore, this area is still divided into two areas, and some rooms can be used as a sperm collection room. 1. In vitro fertilization technology partition (1) Setting of functional rooms Plane rooms are mainly composed of sperm retrieval room, puncture sperm retrieval operating room, semen disposal room, egg retrieval room, embryo laboratory, embryo transfer room, liquid preparation room, and embryo It consists of a freezing room, a cell room, a liquid nitrogen storage room, a consumable reagent library, an anesthesia recovery area and other office auxiliary rooms.
The configuration of each functional room takes the essence room There are 3 rooms, one of which is equipped with a hospital bed (used to assist in the removal of essence), room access control management, a TV set inside, and a single room to ensure privacy and highlight humanity Design: There is a voice intercom system between the fine collection room and the nurse station to facilitate the communication between doctors and patients. The semen collection room is connected with the semen treatment room and the artificial insemination laboratory with an interlocking transfer window. After the patient has taken the sperm, it can be directly sent to the semen treatment room and the artificial insemination laboratory through the transfer window, and has hand-washing equipment. Each room is not less than 5 square meters.
Semen Processing Room
Adjacent to the sperm retrieval room and embryo laboratory, there is a set of ultra-clean workbenches, a set of carbon dioxide incubators, and a set of wall-mounted storage cabinets. Each carbon dioxide incubator is equipped with carbon dioxide (99.9999% high purity, set separately from the building) gas supply port; each carbon dioxide incubator is equipped with a set of universal sockets. The room level shall not be lower than the Class II standard of the Ministry of Health for medical facilities. The area is not less than 10 square meters.
Egg retrieval room
There is one room. The room equipment includes medicine cabinets, anesthesia cabinets, equipment cabinets, heat preservation cabinets, cold storage cabinets, wall-waist medical air source configuration boxes (equipped with 2 oxygen and 1 vacuum suction), film viewing lights, infusion guide rails, Timer (respectively marked: operation time and Beijing time), hands-free walkie-talkie, gynecological operating table, special shadowless lamp for operating room, 4 sets of socket boxes (one set for each wall). There is an interlocking transfer window between the egg retrieval room and the embryo laboratory for easy operation. The room level shall not be lower than the Class II standard of the Ministry of Health for medical facilities. Not less than 25 square meters.
Embryo transfer room
There is one room, and the transplant room is configured with the same egg retrieval room. Connected with the embryo laboratory with a door, the doctor can easily send the fertilized egg into the implantation room, shorten the working route, not only avoid the adverse effect of the external environment on the fertilized egg during the transportation, but also improve the work efficiency. The room level shall not be lower than the Class II standard of the Ministry of Health for medical facilities. Not less than 15 square meters.
Puncture and sperm extraction operating room
There is 1 room. The room is equipped with medicine cabinets, anesthesia cabinets, equipment cabinets, heat preservation cabinets, cold storage cabinets, and 2 sets of medical air sources (each set is equipped with 1 oxygen and 1 vacuum suction), film viewing lights, 4 sets of infusion guide rail, timer (respectively marked: operation time and Beijing time), hands-free walkie-talkie, operating table, special shadowless lamp for operating room, and socket box.
Embryo Lab
There are 4 sets of double ultra-clean workbenches, 6 sets of carbon dioxide incubators, 1 set of self-cleaning air conditioners, and 1 set of lockers (set according to Party A's requirements). The gas source interface of carbon dioxide and nitrogen arranged in the middle is set on the ceiling of the incubator body, and the configuration of each carbon dioxide incubator is the same as the semen disposal room. The room level shall not be lower than the Class I standard of the Ministry of Health's medical facilities, and the embryo operation area shall meet the 100-level purification standard. Not less than 30 square meters.
Micromanipulation room
The environment allows the design of the micromanipulation room, with a double ultra-clean workbench, and the room level is not lower than the Class II standard of the Ministry of Health for medical places.
Consumables library, reagent library
The building area is 15m2.
Liquid nitrogen storage freezer
Equipped with 1 set of drying box, liquid nitrogen storage tank, transfer tank, several finished product operation stations, etc. In addition, the operation area is equipped with a conversation room, an anesthesia recovery area, a clean annex, a washing and incubator cleaning and disinfection room.
Plane streamline
The plane purification streamline of the reproductive center is determined according to the specific work flow of the reproductive center. The main work flow of the reproductive center is as follows-

The principle of selecting materials for the decoration design of reproductive centers: it must be non-toxic, tasteless, and not produce harmful substances. The entrance adopts an access control setting. The doors of the operating room, transplantation room, egg retrieval room, and embryo laboratory all adopt stainless steel automatic induction sealed doors, and the induction method adopts foot induction. The advantage is that it can prevent the hands from touching the room door after disinfection, and effectively control contact pollution. Conducive to the purification of the room.
Lamp design: The fertilized egg is easily damaged under strong light, so the brightness in the embryo laboratory should be controllable. The wall is equipped with a wall lamp with adjustable brightness to ensure the success rate of the experiment. If the convex wall lamp is used, the height of the lowest point of the wall lamp should be controlled above 1.8m. If the embedded wall lamp is used, the height can be unlimited.
If there are windows, reasonable shading measures should be taken to avoid fabric curtains.
Artificial insemination technology zone
It can be attached to the in vitro insemination technology zone, but the functional room artificial insemination laboratory and artificial insemination room should be designed and dedicated separately.
Function room setting: The plane room is mainly composed of the sperm collection room, artificial insemination laboratory, artificial insemination room and other office auxiliary rooms.
